NFL star Tom Brady is finding fulfillment in his new role as an announcer for Fox Sports. In an interview with People magazine, the 47-year-old quarterback expressed his enjoyment of the transition from being on the field to working behind the scenes. After retiring from professional football in 2022, Brady took a break before starting his broadcasting career. He recently began a $375 million, 10-year deal with Fox Sports as an analyst during the regular-season opener between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns on September 9.
Brady spoke about his commitment to doing a great job for Fox and his teammates there. He emphasized that he wakes up every day trying to do his best for those who matter most to him. While he acknowledges that life can get hectic with his broadcasting responsibilities and being a parent to three children, he finds joy in spending time with family.
Brady’s debut as an announcer received both criticism and praise from fans. In another interview with Fox News Digital, he admitted that he is still learning on the job but is enjoying every step of the way. He understands that perfection may not be attainable but appreciates the challenge of being involved in the game and watching young athletes strive for success.
Aside from football, Brady also supports causes important to him. He recently partnered with medical device company Abbott and the Big Ten Conference for their We Give Blood Drive campaign. The campaign aims to address blood shortages in the US by generating awareness and encouraging blood donations during this year’s football season.
Brady believes in giving back and sees donating blood as a crucial way to save lives. The competition aspect of We Give Blood Drive allows schools to compete for a $1 million donation towards student and community health initiatives based on their blood donation numbers.
This weekend, Brady will be calling his first Tampa Bay Buccaneers game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
