Panasonic Holdings Corp. has released details about its pavilion for the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025. The pavilion, called “The Land of Nomo,” consists of four interactive zones, including “The Nomo Forest” and “The Valley of Ancient Trees.” Leveraging its expertise in audiovisual technologies, Panasonic aims to provide children with experiences that help them discover the hidden potential of their senses.
The concept behind the pavilion is to create a mysterious world where visitors can explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. Each visitor will be equipped with a device called a ”crystal,” which contains an electronic tag. Cameras inside the pavilion will record the movements of each visitor, and this data will be analyzed to generate a personalized story that reflects their individuality and characteristics. The story will then be displayed on a large screen.
Michiko Ogawa, the director in charge of EXPO Promotion at Panasonic Holdings, expressed her desire for children to experience a moment when their emotions and senses are set free.
Construction on the pavilion was completed in August, and media were given a preview on Thursday. Additional work will involve adding films to the ring-shaped frames around the building and finalizing details in the technology exhibition area. The entire project is expected to be completed by February next year.
Starting from September 25 until October 6, Panasonic Holdings plans to accept reservations for approximately 16,000 visitors. These reservations will only be available to those who have purchased Super Early-bird tickets for the Expo at discounted prices before October 6th.
