Randy Travis is embarking on his “More Life” Tour in 2025, according to a recent announcement. Despite suffering a stroke in 2013 that left him unable to perform, Travis has remained involved in the tour, thanks to vocalist James Dupré and Travis’ original touring band. The singer and his wife Mary will also be present on stage to interact with fans during the shows.
In a statement, Travis expressed his excitement about the tour, saying, “The ‘More Life’ Tour celebrates so much more than a musical moment in time. It’s a gift for me to spend time with my fans and my band while James Dupré flawlessly presents the songs that define my career.”
Earlier this year, Travis released an AI-generated song titled “Where That Came From,” which sparked discussions about artificial intelligence’s role in music performance. Producer Kyle Lehning and Warner Music stripped away the music from 42 tracks and used Dupré as a surrogate voice. The AI program then overlaid Dupré’s singing with Travis’ original vocals.
Mark Heim of The Alabama Media Group reported on these developments but did not provide any further analysis or commentary.
