Two of the Premier League’s in-form sides, Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest, will face off on Sunday afternoon. Brighton, under the management of Fabian Hurzeler, have had a positive start to the season with wins against Manchester United and draws against Arsenal. They also secured a spot in the Carabao Cup fourth round after a dramatic win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are coming off an impressive victory over Liverpool and remain unbeaten in the league so far this season.
Brighton’s star striker Joao Pedro is still a doubt for Sunday’s match due to a minor injury. Solly March is sidelined with a long-term injury while James Milner and new signings Brajan Gruda and Matt O’Riley are also in the treatment room. Ferdi Kadioglu scored midweek following his move from Fenerbahce and could start this weekend.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s only confirmed absentees for Nottingham Forest are midfielders Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare. Danilo broke his ankle on the opening day of the season while Sangare injured his hamstring.
Both teams have made encouraging starts to the season with two wins and two draws each. However, Brighton is favored to hand Nottingham Forest their first Premier League defeat of the season due to their superior quality in attack.
It is unlikely to be a high-scoring affair or an easy win for Brighton, but they are expected to come out on top if Joao Pedro features in their lineup.
