The Cincinnati Bengals are preparing for their upcoming Monday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders after starting the season with two losses. The injury report for the Bengals shows some positive news, but there are still some concerning absences. Quarterback Joe Burrow was listed with a right wrist injury but participated fully in practice. Wide receiver Tee Higgins, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, returned to practice and is expected to make his season debut on Monday night. Rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins also returned to practice with his hand in a club-style wrap, and his progress will be evaluated throughout the week. Offensive tackle Amarius Mims was limited in practice due to a pectoral injury.
On the other hand, defensive tackles B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins missed Thursday’s practice due to hamstring injuries, and it is uncertain if they will be available for Week 3. Tanner Hudson is also recovering from a knee injury suffered in Week 1 and did not participate in practice. Safety Vonn Bell and tight end Mike Gesicki were both limited but not considered major concerns.
As for the Washington Commanders, defensive end Clelin Ferrell, Emmanuel Forbes, and Jer’Zhan Newton were all absent from Thursday’s practice due to various injuries.
