Two typhoons are currently approaching Japan, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. Typhoon Jebi, also known as Typhoon No. 17, is moving in a north-northwest direction near the Ogasawara Islands. As of Sunday at 9 a.m., it is predicted to pass east of Hachijojima Island and then continue eastward towards Japan. There is a possibility that it may affect eastern Japan around Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Krathon, or Typhoon No. 18, was located east of the Philippines as of Sunday at 6 a.m. It is currently almost stationary but expected to gain strength in the coming days. The cyclone is projected to pass south of the Okinawa region and head towards Taiwan. There is a potential risk that it may approach the Okinawa region between Tuesday and Wednesday.
